ABOUT US
Fortress started with my mum. She's always the one up the hill, biking to work, out there and active in sunshine or rain. So when the conversation around bone health started popping up, it got my attention. I realised how quickly strength can change, even in people who move every day.
If bone loss were visible, we’d treat women very differently.
It begins earlier than most of us realise:
Bone loss can start as early as your 30s. [1]
In the years around menopause, women can lose up to 20% of their bone density. [2]
On average, around 10% is lost in the first five years alone. [3]
Approximately one in two women over 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis (weak, brittle bones). [4]
It happens in the background, even in really active people.
